About Us
Choke Athletics didn't start with the opening of a gym.
Our story began many years earlier.
Over the years, we — Zaman Darvish and Mohamed Chahrour — were deeply rooted in the German and Berlin combat sports scene. As active athletes, coaches, competition managers and through the development of our own platforms and media projects around MMA and combat sports.
We accompanied amateur and professional fighters, produced content, documented the scene and helped make combat sports accessible to a wider audience. Along the way we didn't just gain experience — we developed a clear vision of what modern training should look like.
From this experience, the vision of Choke Athletics was born.
When Ramin Reza Wiese recognised the potential of this idea, he decided to become part of the project and build a place together with us that reflects the values that have shaped us over the years.
Today Choke Athletics is more than a gym. It is the result of years of experience in competition, coaching, community building and a passion for combat sports.
More focus. More technique. More development.
More club. Less standard.
